CYPRIEN FOL

Cyprien is a PhD student at ETH Zurich, working on the Virtual Forest project. He is dedicated to revolutionizing extended reality (XR) solutions, particularly in challenging environments like forests. His work involves:

Leveraging mixed reality (MR) technology to highlight the value of forest biodiversity.
Integrating VR and machine learning to develop or enrich 3D training datasets.
Benchmarking 3D mapping sensors for precise 3D reconstruction of complex environment.

With a keen eye for emerging technologies and a passion for impactful research, Cyprien is prepared to make significant contributions in the realm of extended reality (XR) and spatial computing.

Awards

JSPS Fellowship: The Leading House ETH Zurich and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) jointly fund the exchange of early career scientists between Japan and Switzerland.
